The reasons why it is difficult to apply perm…
_ Bristles
→cuticles are very thick so perm liquid does not penetrate.
_ Vellus hair
→small area of hair to perm
→perm liquid doesn’t penetrate because no gap in the cuticle.
_ Fine ( soft hair )
→no volume and no elasticity
_ Too damaged hair
→true hair is like straw, empty inside so the perm liquid can’t work.
_ Too healthy ( beautiful ) hair
→the hair itself is too hard or thick to get permed.
